We all live in a broken world. Broken by wars, natural destruction and other catastrophic disasters. What about the events that plague our lives, and I mean day to day lives. These I call “man made self destructive events”. I have researched and studied the causes and reasons for Anger, Alcoholism and drug additions, loneliness, Martial problems, financial problems and other issues facing each individual life. It is a growing concern to know that these problems are on the rise daily in our society.

It has been a challenge to me after studying these subjects and completing my Ph.D in Christian counselling, how I could help individuals overcome each difficult situation. It is by the grace and strength of God that I was able to destroy all obstruction and listen to his call in understanding the dream on Hebrews: 6:19. I  had the support of my family in bring together a ministry that will help individuals around the world understand their problems and effectively bring a solution that will enable them to have a relationship with Jesus.

Bible hope is a desire based on a promise from God. This promise communicates the possibility of God’s blessing to the individual and encourages the soul.  If one will plant this seed into the soil of the heart, and if the soil is kept right, it will bring forth a harvest of faith. Bible hope is faith in seed form.

Hope is the start of the walk of faith. Hope believes you can have it someday. Faith believes that you have it now (in your heart). Hope is the possibility; faith is the surety. Faith transforms hopes into realities. Hope is the raw material from which faith builds the house. Transforming our godly desires into reality is the purpose of hope and faith. As I began to dive further into the Biblical viewpoint of hope, I knew that in order to do so I needed to open my eyes as to how God intended hope to be internalised and not the way man has falsely idolised it. Here are two statements – I wonder which one best describes your version of hope?

“My hope will disappear if nothing turns out the way in which I planned for.”

“I will hope, trust, and wait on the Lord even if my plans and desires fail.”

What statement is more likely to be said out of your own mouth? Be honest.

For me, I want to choose the latter, but I often feel that my hope is based on the first phrase. The reason for this is because my shallow version of hope is often based on my circumstances and emotions. However, as I was reading more about God’s pure version of hope, I began to look at how Paul spoke about it. He was often met with horrible circumstances, yet his emotional state never got the best of him. Undoubtedly, he knew the second statement to be the truth: “I will hope, trust and wait on the Lord even if my plans and desires fail.”

God speaks in the silence of the heart. Listening is the beginning of prayer. - Mother  Theresa

I’m  praying that you will find the hope that is  needed in your life.

God Bless you

Mission for Hope is a non-profit organisation, with a mission to bring hope of finding solutions to all those who are struggling under the pressures of daily living. The World answers are temporary at best: Live for today, Do what feels good, Drown your sorrows with pleasure or work. Jesus Christ offers the only permanent solution. He invites us to come to Him and receive rest from the weight of our troubles.

No person should carry their burdens alone. Jesus invites those who are going through a time of difficulty he said:

“Come to me all who are heavy weary and burden and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:29. Hope behind the Curtain’s vision is to bring every man, women and child the good news that will free them from their daily suffering.
